This sunday we saw a great grey owl in the woods north of Sala close to möklinta. The owl was not scared so I got lots of pictures. One of my favourits is the one below. I have also added some pictures from this saturday to the gallery.

Today we found a Boreal owl on an Island about 50 km south east of Stockholm.

In September last  year on the way home from New York we stayed for a few days in Iceland.
Of cource there was time for both sightseeing and birding.

Friday after work started with a short trip to old heat plant in Västerås for some birding. Managed to see both the Kingfisher and the 2 little grebes.

11 hours in a blind on saturday resulted in a 40 minutes film and a around 1000 pics of Golden Eagles, White tailed eagles and Common ravens. I visited the blind thursday night to see that I had the correct location. When standing in the complete darkness I heard at least 2 wolfs in the distance.

Sunday was spent up in Färna ekopark looking for tree-toed Woodpeckers a few hours of looking and we found 3. A good weekend with lots of birds and nature experiences.

The day started with fog, so I decided to wait a while before I went out. I was suppose to look for a White-throated Dipper (Cinclus cinclus) but I could not find it at its usual spot so I tried a feeding station a few km north of the dipper. Then it started snowing and the light was really crappy.

I Have uploaded all the images again and added a two new albums; Houston 2011 and Nordic Birds.

I visited Houston for work in march 2011, almost every day I did some birdwatching and during the weekend I went to two of Texas best birding sites. Brazos Bend State park and Galveston Island. The state park was full of nice birds and huge Gators.

I have the new gallery up and running locally on my machine at home now. BUT yesterday when I was suppose to deploy the web server was down. I hope it is up tonight.

 I found this little friend on my work computer. Acctually one of my first photos of a blue tit ever.

The gallery is DOWN right now since I am testing some things..

I have updated the gallery with some phots from the US. Both New York last autumn and also from a road trip through 5 states that I did in the autumn of 2010.

I will continue to fill the Gallery with pictures so stay tuned for more.
